New Ramp Built – November 17, 2017

Royal Williams and his group of Ramp-building volunteers have finished a ramp for 91-year old, Mr. David Blinson.

To date, Serve The Need has completed over 35 ramps in the Johnston County area.

STN provides free labor for our projects.  However, each client is asked to provide some funding for materials and supplies for their ramp or small home repair. Other funding comes from our members, churches, and other community organizations.

Southern Village Fall Festival yields $500

The Southern Village Shopping Center located on Hwy 70 in Clayton was host to a Fall Festival where the proceeds benefited Serve The Need in Johnston County.

Faith James of Access Physical Therapy and Wellness headed up the event.  As you can see from the photo, 50 vendors were on-hand to sell their goods to the public.  The fire truck was part of the “Remember 9-11” non-profit organization.  Children were able to climb aboard and discover the world of fire-fighting.

The light drizzling of rain did not deter shoppers, however.  It was a highly successful event with $500 donation to be given to Serve The Need.  We look forward to partnering with Access Physical Therapy in the Spring.  Thank you to all who volunteered at the STN booth.  We appreciate your involvement and support.
