STN Interview To Air Wednesday April 3rd 2019

Vice President, Tom Ricks and webmaster, Melissa Dooley sat down with WARZ TV host, Evelyn Goodine to talk about the organization and how YOU can become more involved.

WARZ-CD is a religious Class-A television station in Smithfield, North Carolina, part of the Raleigh/Durham television market, carrying religious programming from Local, World Harvest Television, Gospel Music Television, and Retro Television Network. It broadcasts on UHF channel 34 digital. WARZ TV34 reaches over 1/2 million people in Johnston, Wake, Wilson, Wayne, Harnett, and Sampson counties in N.C..

The station is a Class-A operation, and switched to digital broadcasting on September 3, 2010. It is carried on Charter Communicationscable channel 6, and Time Warner Cable channel 5 and the signal currently reaches Raleigh, Wilson, Goldsboro and Dunn.

Volunteers Needed to Deliver Food

Serve the Need is looking for volunteers to assist with picking up and delivering food to the Food Banks.

If you can volunteer a couple of hours a day one or two days a week to help get food to those in need please let us know.

2019 Membership Renewal Reminder!

As 2018 comes to a close, we are so proud of all that our organization has accomplished in providing assistance for so many in need in Johnston County. Here are just a few ways your $15 membership dues have made a difference in the lives of others:

     20+ wheelchair ramps & repairs 
    $500 for special education scholarship at Johnston Community College
     2018 Community Thanksgiving Meal – Served over 1700 meals countywide (in partnership with local churches, civic organizations, businesses and students.)

In the next few weeks, our Executive Board will be evaluating other areas of need in our community and ways in which STNinJC can provide assistance.  In addition to membership dues, your input and active participation is essential to sustaining our current projects and in considering others.  Your assistance in identifying unmet needs and ways in which we can utilize your skills and talents to support our efforts would be greatly appreciated.
